Bridge to Brisbane 2010

With a respectable finish time of 1hr 30 mins :) My running buddy was injured so we jogged from water station to water station for the first couple of kilometres. Around the halfway mark she decided she couldn’t run any further and sent me on ahead. I finished the rest of the race in what felt like pretty good time for me! Bring on B2B 2011!

Lily

Today a friend asked me to take some photos of Lily, her eight month old Australian Bulldog. It was like trying to capture 20kg of puppy personality and tongue barrelling straight for me! I think we got some really nice photographs of her… and a few that I shall caption “Why Bulldogs Should Not Run”. Have a look, see if you can see which ones I’m talking about  ;)

Happy 30th Birthday Sian!

Here we go again :) The Bridge to Brisbane 2010

Happy 18th Birthday Casey :)

Summer is coming…

The jasmine is flowering in our garden, a sure sign that warmer weather is on it’s way. Hooray!

Images of Isabelle

Nic and I went to a Tupperware Party at Bobbi’s house today. I resisted the urge to buy too much – I got one container, Jim. Honest! I also got to see Isabelle for the first time since her brother Jack’s birthday party last year! Isabelle has MPS 1 or Hurler Syndrome, which makes her eyes very sensitive to light. Using a flash was totally out (and not very nice in baby photos anyway) so I bumped up the ISO up and the F-number down to see what I could see – and there at the other end of the lens was gorgeous and courageous little girl who is totally in love with Macca Pacca :)

Ekka Fireworks 2010

What a blast :) I went with Danni and a few of her friends (and stalkers!) into town for the Ekka fireworks. It was the first time I’d ever attempted to photograph fireworks completely manually. Until now I’d just flicked my little blue camera over to “Fireworks Mode” and let it do the rest! Lots of fun, lots to learn. I’m getting me a remote shutter release soon too. Almost all of these were done with a 10 second timer – as in, hit the button and pray something interesting happens in ten seconds…
